DAVID SNIVELY

SMYRNA P.D,

David Snively became a police explorer in February 2002, joining the Powder Springs Police Explorer Post 145.  While there, he achieved the rank of Lieutenant, earned a number of proficiency awards and was named the recipient of the department’s S.A.V.E. Award for his role in a medical emergency. 
In 2003, David joined the Smyrna Police Department Explorer Post 217.  Today he holds the position of Explorer Captain and serves as the post commander.  In 2005, David represented the State of Georgia and the Smyrna Explorers when he was selected as one of 120 explorers nationwide to attend the National Law Enforcement Explorer Leadership Academy.  He attended the academy at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he trained with the United States Army Military Police Corps.  In 2006, David again represented his post, and the state, attending the National Skills USA / VICA Competition in Kansas City, Missouri.  Competing against twenty-six other students in seven Criminal Justice areas, David placed first in the nation and became the first student in Georgia to claim the title.  As a result, he was interviewed for a state career and technical education publication and was the first student keynote speaker at the annual Cobb County Career Technology training.
Prior to holding the office of State President, David served in two other state offices.  From 2003 to 2004, David was the Vice President of the Metro Atlanta Region and from 2004 until 2005, he served as the State Historian. 
Today David is attending the University of West Georgia where he is majoring in Criminology.  Upon completion of his degree, David intends to become a police officer and work for an agency in the Metro Atlanta area.

SHELDON MAYFIELD

Hey! My name is Sheldon Mayfield and as your Northeast Region Vice President I figured you should know a little bit about me.I joined the police explorers April of 2005.Since then my interest in law enforcement has just been a lots of fun.This will be second term as your vice president and it's been so much fun for me.
 
 
CORY BOSWELL
CAROLLTON P.D.
Cory joined the Carollton Police Explorers at the age of 12 and is currently at the  Rank of Captain. Boswell is very instrumental in POST 911. He attends every meeting and is very confident while assisting other
explorers. Boswell has logged more than a 1000 hours community service for the  year 2005/2006. Boswell along with other with his fellow Explorers was recognized by The Carroll County Sheriffs office for the outstanding performance during their first Youth
camp. Boswell has work with the public safety in west Georgia assisting with 
youth camps and has shown outstanding performance with his leadership skills

My name is Destiny.  I am 15 years old and currently hold the position of State Secretary of Law Enforcement Explorer Association of Georgia.  This is my first time in office and I am privileged  to serve in this capacity.
      I live in Stephens Co. and have attended Lavonia Police Explorers for a little more than a year, graduating from the Lavonia Police Academy with honors and a 98% average. I have participated in three main competitions:  M.A.C.E, Winterfest in Gatlinburg TN and the State Competition in Cobb County Ga..
     By participating in two academies,  Lavonia Police Academy and the Forsyth Police Explorer Conference, I have learned about law, professional leadership, ethics, judgment of character and maturity.  I have received three ribbons: one for my 1 year anniversary with the Explorers, the second for my involvement in Hurricane relief, and my final ribbon for graduating Lavonia's training acadamy.  Being responsible for myself and helping others to accept responsibility for their actions is what the Association is about.
